What types of projects does Salient deliver?
Turnkey contracting, design and build, value engineering, and full fit-outs across the industrial, commercial, residential, healthcare, and education sectors, for government, semi-government, and private clients in Abu Dhabi.
Do you work with government and semi-government clients?
Yes. Our record includes the Department of Health, the Department of Community Development, ADEK, the Emirates Schools Establishment, and Aldar. Salient is Abu Dhabi Municipality Classified, Category Second, in Engineering Contracting.
What are your specialty trades?
Steel structure systems, waterproofing, and curtain walls and precast concrete: design, supply, and installation. They are available inside our main contracts or as direct specialty packages for other contractors and developers.
Is Salient Engineering certified?
Yes: ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environmental), and ISO 45001:2018 (health and safety), plus the UAE In-Country Value (ICV) certification. Our trade license is CN-4246041, and our municipality classification can be verified with Abu Dhabi Municipality.
Do you offer design and build?
Yes. One contract, one point of responsibility: structural, architectural, and MEP design combined with construction. Our Royal Medical Centre one-day surgery facility in Shakhbout City was delivered exactly this way.
What is value engineering, and what does it save me?
A disciplined function-versus-cost review of every major design decision by multi-disciplinary specialists. The goal is not the cheapest building: it is the same performance and quality at the lowest lifecycle cost.
Who is behind Salient?
The owner, Mr. Ahmed Alani, with more than 25 years in contracting. He is personally involved in every project the company takes on. You can read more on the Leadership page.
How is Salient related to Daliferah, Ashur Projects, and Salient Fidelity?
They are one family. Salient Engineering is the Abu Dhabi main contractor. Daliferah General Contracting is its general-contracting company in Abu Dhabi. Ashur Projects is the group's construction and engineering affiliate in Calgary, Canada. Salient Fidelity covers real estate and investments.
Where do you operate?
Our home market is Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE. Through Ashur Projects, the group also serves Calgary and Alberta, Canada.
How do we start a project with you?

How do I get a quote?
Use the Get a Quote button at the top of any page, or open the 60-second project dossier on the contact page. Tell us what you are building, and we come back with an honest read on scope, budget, and programme, usually within two working days.
Do you bid on tenders?
Yes. We price government, semi-government, and private tenders, and Salient is Abu Dhabi Municipality Classified, Category Second, in Engineering Contracting. Send tender invitations to admin@salient-ec.com and our estimation team will respond within the tender programme.
How are payments structured?
On most contracts, payment follows monthly progress certificates issued by the consultant, with advance payment and retention as agreed in the contract. The commercial terms are on the table before we start, not discovered during the project.
How fast can you mobilise?
Once the contract is signed and the site is handed over, mobilisation typically takes one to three weeks depending on authority approvals and the scale of the works. Fast-track programmes, like our 35-day retail fit-out, mobilise in days.
